  11. Install WinBag from windows by running INSTALL.EXE after unzipping.

  16. 1. FILE_ID.BIZ  - A summary description for BBS use.

  19. 2. WBAG.TXT     - This file which contains information about the
  20.                   contents and purpose of the various files,
  21.                   how to get started, description of shareware,
  22.                   and the ASP Ombudsman statement.
  23.  
  24. 3. WBAG.EXE     - The WinBag program.
  25.  
  26. 4. WinBag.HLP   - Windows Help and registration form
  27.  
  28. 5. README.EXE   - Technical documentation on how to use the program.
  29.                   How to obtain technical support, both online or
  30.                   by phone.
  31.  
  32. 6. VENDOR.DOC   - Software distribution information for vendors.
  33.  
  34. 7. VBX files    - Listed in the Deinstallation instructions. These
  35. files product the speedometer and dice.

  37. Deinstallation Instructions
  38. 1. Delete the following VBX files from your windows\system
  39. directory.  MHDC200.Vbx, MHMQ200.VBX, MHGA200.VBX, BIVBX11.DLL,
  40. and MHRUN300.DLL.
  41. 2. Delete the WBAG directory.
  42. 3. Delete the Group and ICONs by selecting them and pressing the delete
  43. key in windows.

  45. Other Files which are Install related include:
  46. INSTALL.EXE,  APPSETUP.INF, CTL3D.DLL

  49. WinBag Technical Notes:
  50.  
  51. You must have the Windows MCI CD Audio Driver installed to
  52. use the CD Player. Go to MAIN, Control Panel, Drivers and
  53. use the Add feature to install it. It is on your Windows
  54. installation disks or CD.

  56. The install may not work on Windows 3.0 or earlier.

  60. DEFINITION OF SHAREWARE
  61.  
  62. Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software
  63. before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue
  64. using it, you are expected to register. Individual programs
  65. differ on details -- some request registration while others
  66. require it, some specify a maximum trial period. With
  67. registration, you get anything from the simple right to continue
  68. using the software to an updated program with printed manual.

  70. Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and commercial software,
  71. and the copyright holder retains all rights, with a few specific
  72. exceptions as stated below. Shareware authors are accomplished
  73. programmers, just like commercial authors, and the programs are
  74. of comparable quality. (In both cases, there are good programs
  75. and bad ones!) The main difference is in the method of
  76. distribution. The author specifically grants the right to copy
  77. and distribute the software, either to all and sundry or to a
  78. specific group. For example, some authors require written
  79. permission before a commercial disk vendor may copy their
  80. Shareware.

  82. Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software. You
  83. should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook,
  84. whether it's commercial or Shareware. The Shareware system makes
  85. fitting your needs easier, because you can try before you buy.
  86. And because the overhead is low, prices are low also. Shareware
  87. has the ultimate money-back guarantee -- if you don't use the
  88. product, you don't pay for it.

  92. Users of WinBag must accept this disclaimer of warranty:
  93. WinBag software program is supplied as is. The author disclaims all
  94. warranties, expressed or implied, including, without limitation,
  95. the warranties of merchantability and of fitness for any purpose.
  96. The author assumes no liability for damages, direct or conse-
  97. quential, which may result from the use of MEG.

  99. WinBag is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge
  100. to the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your
  101. friends, but please do not give it away altered or as part of
  102. another system.  The essence of "user-supported" software is to
  103. provide personal computer users with quality software without
  104. high prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to

  108. useful and find that you are using WinBag and continue to use
  109. WinBag after a reasonable trial period, you must make a reg-
  110. istration payment of $23 to James Tolliver. The $23
  111. registration fee will license one copy for use on any one
  112. computer at any one time.  You must treat this software just like
  113. a book.  An example is that this software may be used by any
  114. number of people and may be freely moved from one computer
  115. location to another, so long as there is no possibility of it
  116. being used at one location while it's being used at another.
  117. Just as a book cannot be read by two different persons at the
  118. same time.

  120. Commercial users of WinBag must register and pay for their
  121. copies of WinBag within 30 days of first use or their license
  122. is withdrawn.  Site-License arrangements may be made by con-
  123. tacting James Tolliver.

  125. Anyone distributing WinBag for any kind of remuneration must
  126. first contact James Tolliver at the address shown in the
  127. README.EXE files included with this document.
  128. This authorization will be automatically granted to distributors
  129. recognized by the (ASP) as adhering to its guidelines for
  130. shareware distributors, and such distributors may begin offering
  131. WinBag immediately (However James Tolliver must still be advised so
  132. that the distributor can be kept up-to-date with the latest
  133. version of WinBag.).

  135. You are encouraged to pass a copy of WinBag along to your
  136. friends for evaluation.  Please encourage them to register their
  137. copy if they find that they can use it.  All registered users
  138. may receive a copy of the latest version of the WinBag
  139. system at any time in exchange for a modest disk and shipping fee.
